CQ is the international ham radio call meaning anyone listening? It's often repeated two or three times, trying to start a conversation with someone on a channel (frequency). This acronym/slang usually belongs to Common / Miscellaneous / Community category. Particularly in Amateur radio Abbreviations.

When monitoring, you are likely to hear people say "over" when ending a transmission.
